Combining four machines in one (grinding, splitting, checking and correction process), the OPTIMA is the first and only complete OPTICAL DRILL POINT GRINDING SYSTEM with a built-in comparator that will find and point thin or split point thin of split point in one setting.

Only the OPTIMA has a range from .0135" to 1.000" diameter. To assure the utmost concentricity and self-centering point geometry, drills can be checked, and if faulty (off-center flutes, worn shank or margin) corrected for their accuracy in one setting while the drill is still held in its original chucked position. This can be accomplished by an unskilled operator in just seconds.
